Processing of your personal data

The GDPR, or General Data Protection Regulation, is the new European reference text on the protection of personal data, which has been in force since 25 May 2018.

As you are probably aware, it enhances and strengthens the protection of personal data within the European Union.

EPTIMUM, a simplified joint stock company with capital of €510,003, whose registered office is located at 49 rue de la Vanne, 92120 Montrouge, is the publisher of the Eptimum.com online store, which offers a full range of professional and consumer software.

As Data Controller within the meaning of the French Data Protection Act and Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, Eptimum is responsible for the personal data it collects from the Eptimum.com online store, which offers a full range of professional and consumer software.

The data is collected in order to enable you, as a customer, prospect or simple user of our services, to receive personalised information, manage your orders, receive tailored commercial offers and, where applicable, benefit from offers from our partners. This data also enables our services to administer and improve our marketing activities and services to our customers.

A cookie is a text file that stores information about your browsing activity on the Internet. This file is placed on the user's hard drive by the server when a website is visited. It cannot contain viruses or be executed. It is not active. Furthermore, you can read, delete or modify it. A cookie cannot be used to retrieve personal data from your hard drive, read your email address or obtain personal information.

Eptimum's websites use cookies for various reasons. A cookie allows us to send you personalised offers, identify you when you access your customer account, and keep items in your shopping basket after you log out.

In accordance with the Order of 24 August 2011 on the application of European directives on privacy protection on the Internet, a cookie cannot be placed on your computer without your prior consent (except in cases where there is a legal exception). Eptimum is therefore required to obtain your consent in advance, which is valid for a maximum of 13 months.
